Neymar decides between Barcelona and Real Madrid

One of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas could be solved in the next few days after Neymar has chosen between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed through multiple officials that Neymar has asked to leave during the summer amid interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Parisians’ sporting director Leonardo revealed that the player would not be featuring for the club until his future is sorted and since the last several, Neymar has been training individually- away from the rest of his teammates.

Barcelona are thought to be interested in him after sending Philippe Coutinho to Bayern Munich and more so due to their failure in replacing him with either his compatriot or Ousmane Dembele. That being said, PSG are reluctant in selling Neymar to the Catalans due to their ugly relationship from the last few years.

Real Madrid have established themselves in pole position to sign the Brazil international an Florentino Perez’s good relationship with the Paris Saint-Germain executives will only benefit his pursuit for the former Barcelona superstar. Apparently, the Whites have been offered a loan option over Neymar with an obligation to purchase him next year, something that has not yet been made available to their Spanish counterparts.

Fox Sports has reported that Neymar Sr., the player’s father as well as his agent wants his son to play for Real Madrid. He has a hatred for Lionel Messi because the Argentina international has stolen the limelight several times and believes that there would be no change in Neymar’s favour even this year. Juventus are interested in the left winger as well, but Cristiano Ronaldo occupies a similar status in Italy as Messi does with Barcelona.

Neymar may be convinced into joining Real Madrid due to the fact that he does not have to play second fiddle to anybody and will be the biggest star in the time. Additionally, his quest for the Ballon d’Or will be hilted by either Messi or Ronaldo at their respective clubs, but Neymar will have no realistic challenger to the accolade in Madrid, plus, the club’s influence may actually land him the big prize.
